Lynne Brown, who helped found the firm with Tom Gibbons in 2011, passed away on March 22, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Affectionately known as “Lynnie” and “Downtown Lynne Brown,” Lynne was born and raised in the Port Richmond area of Philadelphia. She was a beloved member of the community, well known for her vibrant personality, contagious laughter, and rapier wit. She was, first and foremost, a devoted mother to Kyle and grandmother to Kyle, Jr. and Kody, but she didn’t hesitate to share her motherly love and wisdom with anyone who needed it.
Lynne graduated from the St. Boniface Business School in 1980, but spent her entire adult life working in the legal industry. She and Tom worked together at another law firm from 2008 through 2011, when the two separated from that firm to start Gibbons Legal. From then until her passing, Lynne was the firm’s office manager and Tom’s best, most trusted friend.
Lynne will be often thought of and forever missed.
